We have 200 vacancies for the following positions:
1. Laboratory Testers
As a laboratory officer of the Covid-19 laboratory, you will be part of a team that supports the Nation’s efforts to conduct laboratory tests on swab samples for Covid-19. You will work in certified laboratories situated in Singapore’s West.
You will be provided Personal Protective Equipment and training to equip you with the requisite protection and competencies to execute your duties. Your role will directly contribute towards Singapore’s fight against Covid-19.
Responsibilities
- Handling infectious samples and testing samples through Direct/Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction processes.
- Assisting in laboratory duties such as equipment maintenance, maintaining inventory, purchase of consumables and preparation of laboratory reagents/supplies, including laboratory cleaning and waste-disposal.
- Assisting in laboratory quality assurance duties such as verification of quality control standards and conducting of basic performance checking tests.
Requirements
- Willing to handle infectious materials
- Able to don isolation gown and N95 mask
- Able to stand for prolonged periods
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently as well as in a team
- Willing to work on shifts (including night shift from 12 am to next day 8 am) and weekends. A normal work week comprises 5 days with 8 hrs per day.
2. Laboratory Admin Officers
As a Lab Admin Officer of the Covid-19 laboratory, you will be part of a team that supports the Nation’s efforts to conduct laboratory tests on swab samples for Covid-19.
You will provide admin support such as documentation and logistics support work, such as in-patient processing, management of patients, disinfection, transferring of samples and collation of results at various sites in Singapore set up to augment the nation’s testing efforts. You will be provided Personal Protective Equipment and training to equip you with the requisite protection and competencies to execute your duties. You will directly contribute towards Singapore’s fight against Covid-19.
Site Supervisor for Test Labs
- To facilitate the smooth running of overall testing activities.
- Scheduling of testers to meet the number of test per shift per day.
- Supervise admin staff. Report situation to HQ.
Admin Staff
- To assist the site supervisor to facilitate the smooth running of test activities by ensuring the supply of consumables and PPE, serviceability of equipment and infrastructure, and calling for repair and replenishment whenever needed.
- To assist site supervisor to receive test samples and to store them appropriately.
- Ensure that the sample storage facilities are serviceable and adequate, especially during surge period.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the site and biohazard waste disposal.
IT Support
- To ensure that the IT equipment for the analysis and capturing of test results are serviceable, and to perform regular uploads of test results to the central database.
